Here some tips for taking portrait photos in places of poor light, easy shortcut tips for lowlight photography.
- Set ‘Auto Focus’ on the lighting part of the ‘Subject’. Then change to ‘Manual Focus’ without moving the subject.
- When the light is so poor, almost no light situation, ISO must be increased. Don’t be bother to increase ISO from 1000 to 5000. It can create a bit ‘Noise’ but it is fine.
- Aperture’ should be at least ‘F4’ level if the widest aperture rate – 2.8 is not available.
- ‘Shutter Speed’ can be applied to 1/60 but to use tripod essentially.
- ‘Exposure Compensation’ should be adjusted from ‘-2 stop’ to ‘-3 stop’ accordingly.
- It is necessary to be dark or no lighting behind the subject. The better condition is the subject in black cloth.
- Need to place the subject into your preference composition as the light comes to the subject in timely manner.
